The pharmacy-museum was opened in 2018 on the basis of one of the oldest functioning pharmacies in the city. It is located in the building of the former house of the merchant Urynov. According to the data from the early twentieth century in this house there was also a pharmacy. After the restoration of the house and its transformation into the Desna Hotel in the postwar period, a pharmacy also functioned here since 1947. Nowadays, visitors of the pharmacy-museum can not only buy medicine, but also get acquainted with the history of pharmacy in Chernihiv, which began in 1782.
