The house was built in the second half of the 19th century, and in 1943-1954 lived the family of Oleksiy Pavlovich Fliorov, a famous teacher and linguist, the first director of the Chernihiv Teachers' Institute (now Chernihiv Collegium). The house is filled with antiques from those periods, including some of them "remembering" the Fleur family.
The exposition of the House-Museum of the Chernihiv traveler and writer Oleksandr Voloshchuk also presents the personal collections of the owner, most of which were formed during travels to 60 countries of the world: coats of arms of cities, headdresses and cold weapons of various countries and peoples, rosaries of various religions and denominations.
