At the end of the nineteenth century, in 1883, a universal Volodymyr school was opened at the corner of Honcha and Zelena streets. Universal because there were children from families with different backgrounds studying here and the courses were for boys and girls.
How did this house appear? In 1885, a church-parish school was established here on the outskirts of the city. Its opening was initiated by a local priest with his daughter. They asked the city authorities some money for rent and some things for the school. The school has become more popular and the authorities have added significant funds. Eventually, they gave money to build new premises, and started to talk about opening an entire elementary school.
Today it is a residential building, but it can be easily viewed from the ancient street of Honcha, which was appeared in ancient times. In the courtyards of houses # 11, 13, 15, 22 there are the remains of a rampart - outer city of the XI century.
