In the early 20th century, the building of a nonclassical secondary school was built in Chernihiv. Architecturally, they tried to combine classicism and modernism. In 1915 the school has 7 primary and 1 auxiliary classes, here were 286 boys study. In such establishments, students did not study languages, but pay attention to science, physics, drawing, mathematics.

The school building was in force until 1917, and then it was passed through to the Red Army for two years, the next ten years - to the Institute of Public Education, then it was damaged from military bombing. After reconstruction the building is a part of a Cooperative Technical College.
