Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit is a Roman Catholic Church in Chernihiv, it belongs to Kyiv-Zhytomyr Diocese. At this time, priests from the Missionary Assembly are serving in the church.
In 2002, after a long (and unsuccessful) dispute between the city authorities and the parish of the Roman Catholic Church was built in the 19th century at the corner of Piatnytska and Chernyshevska streets. Several priests work in the parish, as nuns serve as shelters for the youngest children and priests from other parishes. Since its restoration, the parish has been headed by Fr. Henry (Kaminsky).
In 1995, a significant event for the Chernihiv people took place in the church, the representatives of the parish, headed by the rector, and visited Rome with a meeting with the Pope John Paul II.
