The Ratskevych estate, a very unusual wooden building on Rynkova street, belongs to the list of architectural heritage of local importance. It was built on the edge of the XIX and XX centuries in the Vienna secession style, which is characterized by the presence of many rounded and curved details in finishing, which observers are supposed to associate with the curves of a female’s body.

At the end of the XX – beginning of the XXI century, the building was reconstructed to meet the needs of the Chernihiv Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As a result of this reconstruction the building has acquired a lower roof, which doesn’t match its overall style. The façade’s appearance remained untouched.
