Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the only Greek Catholic Church in Chernihiv. The temple is located on the territory of the Nunnery of the Redemptorist Sisters (Missionary of the Most Holy Redeemer).
Construction of the monastery began in the autumn of 2011. In April 2012, Bishop of the Archdiocese of Kyiv, Joseph Milian, consecrated the foundation and cornerstone of the church. The consecration of the church and monastery took place on April 24, 2014.
In October 2015, Bishop of the Kyiv Archdiocese, Joseph Milian, consecrated the iconostasis of the temple. Icons are made in a classic Eastern style with the use of natural materials in four colors. The author of the work is a young icon painter Taras Markiv.
